Steel Pipes Manufacturing Process (1)
Steel pipes are long hollow tubes that are used for a variety of purposes. They are produced by two distinct methods, which result in either a welded or seamless pipe. In both methods, raw steel is first cast into a more workable starting form. It is then made into a pipe, by stretching the steel out into a seamless tube, or forcing the edges together and sealing them with a weld.

Welded pipes could be manufactured by one of the process, know as Electric Resistance Welding (ERW), where in a high frequency current is being used to fuse the steel together, resulting in welding at the seam of the pipe.

Worldwide, ERW pipes are manufactured and distributed, looking at the various applications, various people are into manufacturing of steel pipes and tubes, following various Indian and International standards.

In India many organization, are engaged into manufacturing and exporting of quality ERW pipes. They manufactures different types of ERW pipes namely black pipes, hot dip galvanized pipes, conduit pipes, casing pipes, scaffolding pipes and general engineering purpose pipes.

These companies have huge production capacities, and holds certification of various Indian as well as International standards.
